The 6D ATR-1 off-road motorcycle helmet is the original game changer.
6D revolutionized helmet design in 2013 with the introduction of the ATR-1 helmet, whose Omni-Direction Suspension (ODS) technology set new standards for athletes by providing brain protection over a much broader range of energy demands, including both linear and angular acceleration forces.
ODS is the most active and progressive energy management solution possible, with the ATR-1 outperforming all others in impact mitigation across the broadest range of impact demands.
The rebuildable ODS system includes the carbon shell, elastomeric isolation dampers to mitigate low threshold impacts, an EPS inner liner, EPP outer liner and low-friction discs to reduce friction and angular acceleration. What does this mean? No matter the direction of the impact, your ATR-1 will reduce the affects of accelerational forces to your head. It utilises a tri-composite carbon/ fibreglass/kevlar shell and three shell sizes across the range for comfort and protection. The ATR-1 is certified to exceed ECE 22.05, DOT FMVSS 218 (US), ASTM F3103 (US) and ACU (UK) standards.
